So cute!

Flower Fairy Lights

Fairy lights can be enhanced with feathers, paper, cardboard cones or...egg carton cups! These recycled cardboard cups offer an unusual texture and soft colors that, with minimal skills, can be turned into a vine of light-emitting morning glory.

Save different colored egg cartons. With a pair of sturdy scissors, cut away excess cardboard surrounding the cup strips. Then cut out each separate cup. With shorter scissors, trim the edges of each cup to form flower petals.

Starting at the cup opening, make a short slit into each side of the cup. Then simply insert one LED bulb into each "flower". Using a one-hole paper punch, make decorative holes on the flowers. See photos for pattern ideas, or invent your own!

Hang your fairy lights in a dark area, over a mirror or above a bed for a cozy, warm effect.

Earworm of the day

Would you prefer Spanker or Spankee??

Dear Mr. Favre,

I am really tired of hearing your name in the news. Will you please decide which team you want to play for and then just do it?!?! Don't get me wrong, I am not going to pretend I understand the first thing about how your game is played. I just think you might be a little bit of an attention whore or maybe a diva. Another thing, I think you would look a lot less like an Amish Irishman if you shaved that hair off of your face. Just a thought.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your very hectic schedule to listen to my concerns.

Kids!

Our girls have become obsessed (for lack of a better word) with hobo's. YES, I said hobo's?!?!

We have no idea what has started this fascination with someone who wanders packing their belongings in a scarf tied to a stick.

We had dinner in the Highland's Saturday night and when we were leaving the restaurant a man asked Dunnski for some change. My oldest immediately looked at Dunnski and said, "Is he a hobo?"

WTF?

Effin' scary!

Mmmm...Sam Adams Coffee Stout

Last week we toured the Sam Adams plant in Boston and were able to taste test two new beers that are part of the 2008 Beer Lovers Choice Contest. I could not taste any blackberry flavor in sample A. Sample B was outstanding, it was smooth and the coffee flavor was not to overwhelming. I can't wait to see who wins, the winner should be announced at the end of the year.

My vote is for sure for the Coffee Stout...I would definitely like to start my mornings with one of these babies.

Very cool...

A unique art exhibition opened in Manitoba over the weekend, but not in a gallery or even a city: a Saskatchewan artist unveiled a life-sized dollhouse in a southwestern field.

From Highway 2, near the Saskatchewan border, it doesn't look like much; only a painted sign of a family holding hands suggests anything unusual about this particular abandoned farmhouse, one of many.

Around back, the north-facing wall of the house has been replaced with Plexiglas, showcasing its interior, fully restored with candy-coloured walls and furniture from the 1960s, when the home was abandoned.

Heather Benning worked nearly 18 months on the project, entitled Dollhouse.

"I wanted to show the passage of time … I was able to show what it looked like before it was left, but then what it looks like now, you know, 35 years later," said Benning.

"I chose to leave the porch on there, which is rotted out, and [leave] everything to look quite rustic on the outside."

Benning said she was inspired by abandoned farmhouses close to her childhood home near Humboldt, Sask.

"We used to have an abandoned farm on my father's land where I grew up, and I used to play there a lot when I was younger," she told CBC. "I'd play inside the house and set it up and stage it and things like that."

Ruby Busby, a resident of nearby Reston, visited the house Saturday.

Busby can remember driving past the house in the 1960s, when it was still occupied. She was surprised to see its restoration.

"Well, I couldn't believe it, it was so nice," she said. "It was very cute, I think, and just like it was years ago, probably."

Benning created Dollhouse while serving as artist-in-residence for Redvers, Sask., about 30 kilometres west of the house.

Although she has only a few months left in her term, she plans to leave the house on display until it becomes unsafe.

The house is located off Highway 2 near Sinclair, Man.

My major in college was not Marketing...

So...I am very confused by the above swimsuit ad. How much do you think she was paid for that horrible picture that probably took one take?

I can hear the cameraman now, "come on sweetie, slouch over for me and stick your neck out."

frick a stick on a brick

I come home from work only to be greeted by a pile of cat shit in the middle of our master bed.

This makes me very unhappy.

The kids are bickering, I am yelling, the dog is hiding under the kitchen table.

It is going to be a long night.

WTF???

And why does the woman in the black hood oddly resemble a young Helen Hunt?

Pictures!!!

Here are some pic's from our Boston/New York Trip. Enjoy!

Here we are at the Boston Red Sox game. I am not sure what the lady over left shoulder is doing. I am just glad I didn't know she was there during the game...she is scary.

We are on the beach in Boston.

These are a few pictures of the cozy little Bed and Breakfast where we stayed in Boston.

Okay...this was too cool. This was the porta potty at the Sam Adam's plant where you tour and drink beer. Woo Hoo! I went out to use the potty and I was like...GREAT, a porta can. But, you went inside and.....look below

It was the Donald Trump of porta potties!

Wood, marble, glass and porcelain.

And even a Mini Monet on the wall. Now that is what I call swanky!

Dunnski has several hats...he just wishes he knew when in the hell to grab them!

Talk of female parts below

I have been having ovarian cysts for the last several months that have been causing irregular menstrual cycles. I did not know that was the cause until the day before vacation, when I was having excruciating pain in my side. I went to the Dr thinking it was another kidney stone, but after an ultrasound, a 3 cm cyst was discovered. So, I am now going on my second month without my period, and I am not pregnant. When she finally comes, everyone in our house better buy a hat and hold on to it for dear life.

I'm not proud...

In a few hours we will be off to the land of Chuck E Cheese's to celebrate the little ones birthday. She gets to pick where she has dinner on her birthday, and once a year we go to Mr. Cheese's. I signed up online today for Chuck E's Club, just so I could get the one time super duper coupon dealie so we could use it tonight. One large pizza, 4 drinks and 40 tokens for only $18.99 and 100 tokens for $10.00. Not to shabby if you ask me. I think 140 tokens should keep the kiddies busy for quite some time. I am just hoping they will share their tokens with Dunnski. :u)
